First and foremost, I must mention that the once discontinued Safari perfume is back on sale at Ralph Lauren's official website. Now, on with the review.

Safari is bold and unique fragerance. This is one of the perfumes that fall under the category of 'spray and wait a minute' for me. The opening notes are strong , but give it a minute to let it settle and its beautiful. It contains a blend of rose, orange, jonquil, mandarin, patchouli, vetiver, narcissus, sandalwood, jasmine, hyacinth, genet, cedarwood, blackcurrant, and amber.

I get many compliments whenever I wear this, mainly from men, not sure what to make of that. I also love the gorgeous old fashioned faceted bottle. Wonderful to wear in the fall.

I wanted to try a new perfume, and the reviews for Eternity were so promising. But I have to say I really really don't like the scent. On my skin, it smells like nasty room deodorizer. I don't know what I'm going to do. Probably give it away rather than go through the hassle of returning. But I've learned my lesson: never buy a perfume without testing it on your own skin. Bought this perfume for it the be used in a daily basis, as other buyers I was not thrilled with the strenght and duration of the aroma, but for the price i think it's ok. Have other colognes (bought at Macy's) which i used for night outs or special ocassions, but of course had to pay for them full retail value.
